Ducted air conditioning

Ducted air conditioning systems are preferred if you are seeking discrete air conditioning as only small grilles remain visible. Often the most expensive option but also the most pleasing from a design perspective as the ducts and internal elements can be hidden within a suspended ceiling.

This is best installed as part of a building project but they can be retrofitted with very little fuss.

Ceiling mounted cassette units

Ceiling mounted ‘cassette’ units are a great solution for many environments. They fall between ducted and wall-mounted in cost terms, but they can be mostly hidden behind a suspended ceiling. All that can be seen is a fascia panel. They also give an even air flow—popular with users.

Wall mounted air conditioners

Wall mounted air conditioners are usually the most cost-effective solution and easy to retrofit without extensive disruption to an interior. For this reason they are very popular and often seen in mid-range hotels, offices and restaurants. These units are usually placed at a high level on the wall.
